Spectators: 6874 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ciro Pinto got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Victoriano Valdivia managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Cueva FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victoriano Valdivia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Almaguer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clemente Lobatón's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Almaguer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Barahona got a freekick which was hit by Benito Toledo. Emanuel Almaguer came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by La Cueva FC's Clemente Lobatón. But to his dismay, Clemente Lobatón quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to La Cueva FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Manolo Iglesias hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Barahona's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Lobatón came free, but Emanuel Almaguer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, La Cueva FC's goalkeeper Gustavino Zamudio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubén Lugo. If Ciro Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barahona's Emanuel Almaguer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Caamaño in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Clemente Lobatón who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barahona's Emanuel Almaguer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th match minute, Barahona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benito Toledo to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Barahona's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Lobatón came free, but Emanuel Almaguer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximiliano Caamaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximiliano Caamaño struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Emanuel Almaguer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Cueva FC. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Clemente Lobatón sped through Barahona's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emanuel Almaguer. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clemente Lobatón to make the kick off. If Ciro Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Barahona's Ciro Pinto got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barahona's Emanuel Almaguer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Barahona from getting a goal against them. Emanuel Almaguer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Caamaño in the 63rd minute of play. Clemente Lobatón recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Maximiliano Caamaño came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the La Cueva FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Caamaño couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the match, La Cueva FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rubén Lugo came free, but Gustavino Zamudio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tadeo Tello kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 79th minute Maximiliano Caamaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Almaguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Emanuel Almaguer managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when La Cueva FC's Clemente Lobatón fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Barahona booed when La Cueva FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Caamaño didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemente Lobatón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Emanuel Almaguer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Montemayor struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Emanuel Almaguer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Cueva FC. In the 91st minute, Rubén Lugo made a precise shot to the right of Gustavino Zamudio. La Cueva FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. La Cueva FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
