In the 6th minute, Arnie Cifuentes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnie Cifuentes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Alexi Cobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Conrado Pereyra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15thth minute of the game Amando Lugano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guaranas's Alejandro Ibarra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alejandro Ibarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Pereyra, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. José Luis Canales hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Amando Lugano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Polo AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amando Lugano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Ibarra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Conrado Pereyra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Guaranas's Alejandro Ibarra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amando Lugano in the 25th minute of play. Alejandro Ibarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Pereyra in the 27th minute of the match. Alexi Cobos made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Arnie Cifuentes sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the match, Polo AC's Amando Lugano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alejandro Ibarra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alejandro Ibarra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amando Lugano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Arnie Cifuentes managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a rather tough play, Polo AC's Pedro Linares got a free kick in the 37th minute. Alejandro Ibarra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amando Lugano's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Conrado Pereyra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Alejandro Ibarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amando Lugano took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejandro Ibarra. Alejandro Ibarra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 49 minutes into the match, Arnie Cifuentes notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Polo AC's Alexi Cobos. Alexi Cobos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrique Bazán stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexi Cobos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Bazán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alejandro Ibarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amando Lugano in the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Guaranas's zone, Amando Lugano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejandro Ibarra came out of the goal and Amando Lugano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Enrique Bazán managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaranas's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Bazán was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexi Cobos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 67 minutes into the match, Guaranas's goal looked a bit too open when Amando Lugano came free, but Alejandro Ibarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guaranas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Amando Lugano scored to the left of an out of position Alejandro Ibarra, making the score, 1-2. Arnie Cifuentes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexi Cobos having to interfere. After some careless play in the Guaranas defense, Amando Lugano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alejandro Ibarra. The Guaranas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alejandro Ibarra should have stopped the shot. Alejandro Ibarra made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Conrado Pereyra sent off a good shot on target. Polo AC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
