Carlos Albornoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amando Lugano in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Los Cuervos booed when Polo AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amando Lugano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute Roque Corrales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexi Cobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Albornoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amando Lugano in the 12th minute of the match. If Conrado Pereyra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melido Martiarenas's late challenge caught a Polo AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melido Martiarenas helped the player get up and apologised. Conrado Pereyra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Albornoz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Melido Martiarenas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 20 minutes had been played. In the 21st minute, Melido Martiarenas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Albornoz made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Conrado Pereyra sent off a good shot on target. Natanael Arredondo hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Los Cuervos's zone, Lucio Juárez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Albornoz came out of the goal and Lucio Juárez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Conrado Pereyra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes Los Cuervos got a freekick which was hit by Roque Corrales. If Conrado Pereyra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. When Conrado Pereyra came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Polo AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Pereyra couldn't finish the play. In the 53rd minute Pedro Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Albornoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute Polo AC were awarded a corner. Lucio Juárez went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Polo AC booed when Los Cuervos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Albright didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee showed Roberto Cervantes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Conrado Pereyra ran back to his position shaking his head. Saturnino Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute.
