Evaristo Castillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mel Craddock having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Germosén was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Pardo to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the game, Timo Fernández was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mel Craddock made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Evaristo Castillo sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute, Alcibíades Crespo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germosén's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
