Osvaldo Alcántara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto De Mónica in the 7th minute of play. Lisandro Burgos might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mel Craddock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lisandro Burgos ran back to his position shaking his head. Germosén's Mel Craddock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Germosén from getting a goal against them. Osvaldo Alcántara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto De Mónica, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bayaguana UF's zone, Humberto De Mónica stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Alcántara came out of the goal and Humberto De Mónica tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Humberto De Mónica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tony Zapata came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Germosén fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tony Zapata couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto De Mónica in the 31st minute of play forced Bayaguana UF's goalkeeper Osvaldo Alcántara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Zapata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Alcántara having to interfere. Tony Zapata took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldo Alcántara. Osvaldo Alcántara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Bayaguana UF's Osvaldo Alcántara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto De Mónica in the 46th minute of play. If Tony Zapata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Bayaguana UF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Germosén were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacobo Centeno to strike the kick off in the second half. Arthur Pardo kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Osvaldo Alcántara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Zapata in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute of the match Alberto Carrera shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mel Craddock showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mel Craddock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Centeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Humberto De Mónica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Alcántara having to interfere. Bayaguana UF's Osvaldo Alcántara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Bayaguana UF from getting a goal against them. Mel Craddock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Centeno in the 69th minute of the match. Osvaldo Alcántara came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Germosén's Tony Zapata. But to his dismay, Tony Zapata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Tony Zapata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Humberto De Mónica's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldo Alcántara was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Humberto De Mónica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th match minute, Bayaguana UF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Castillo to maneuver through the defense.
