Espaillat CP's Andrés De La Hoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Albam in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Espaillat CP's Nicolás Barjuan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcio Herrera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Nicolás Barjuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcio Herrera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
