Camilo Alcántara hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Cañafistol's Julián Mercado broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Toño Espinosa in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edgar Arbizu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Toño Espinosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Arbizu having to interfere. Edgar Arbizu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Aguirre, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Julio Vela hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Edgar Arbizu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toño Espinosa in the 12th minute. The audience was convinced that Omar Orellana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Ortiz was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Omar Orellana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cristian Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Aguirre in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Arbizu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgar Arbizu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Aguirre in the 24th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Cañafistol's Toño Espinosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Arbizu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Omar Orellana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Ortiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Mauro Aguirre put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Edgar Arbizu. In the 38th minute, Izzy Rey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toño Espinosa got free with Edgar Arbizu in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes into the match, Cañafistol's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Orellana came free, but Cristian Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arquímedes Molina, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Cristian Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Orellana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Ortiz came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Cristobal FC's Omar Orellana. But to his dismay, Omar Orellana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Orellana to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Izzy Rey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neifi Posada's late challenge caught a Cristobal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Neifi Posada helped the player get up and apologised. Eleuterio Rincón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Cristian Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Omar Godín fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cañafistol's protests and gave Omar Godín a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th match minute, Cañafistol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Godín to maneuver through the defense. Mauro Aguirre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Arbizu having to interfere. Arquímedes Molina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Ortiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cañafistol had won after a very even match.
