After 4 played minutes Platanal got a freekick which was hit by Buenaventura Radford. After 6 played minutes Platanal got a freekick which was hit by Melky Heureaux. When Anselmo Garrick came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Fundación fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Garrick couldn't finish the play. Alexi Robledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diómedes Horford in the 12th minute of play. In the 14thth minute of the game Diómedes Horford who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fundación's Alexi Robledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anselmo Garrick struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Isidoro Stewarts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fundación. Anselmo Garrick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Fundación's zone, Diómedes Horford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexi Robledo came out of the goal and Diómedes Horford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Platanal's Idelfonso Cox got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diómedes Horford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidoro Stewarts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Garrick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gustavino Aquino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Melky Heureaux hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Alexi Robledo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bernard Molina. In the last second Alexi Robledo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Diómedes Horford in the 48thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diómedes Horford to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Fundación's Gustavino Aquino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Isidoro Stewarts. That made the score 0-1 after 56 minutes of play. Isidoro Stewarts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavino Aquino's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Fundación's Gustavino Aquino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Isidoro Stewarts. That made the score 0-2 after 64 minutes of play. Isidoro Stewarts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Garrick in the 68th minute. Isidoro Stewarts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavino Aquino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diómedes Horford in the 73rd minute of play forced Fundación's goalkeeper Alexi Robledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th match minute, Platanal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernie Nadal to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Garrick in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Isidoro Stewarts, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Isidoro Stewarts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavino Aquino in the 79th minute of the match. Anselmo Garrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Stewarts having to interfere. Ramfis Ocasio kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Alexi Robledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diómedes Horford in the 83rd minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Platanal's goalkeeper Isidoro Stewarts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Garrick. If Diómedes Horford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Platanal's Diómedes Horford in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fundación's goalie prevented a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fundación walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
