If Amilcar Méndez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sergio Sepúlveda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Amilcar Méndez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cayetano Brizuela. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 13th play minute Sergio Sepúlveda came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cayetano Brizuela. 2-0. After 16 minutes, Gabriel Avellanos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tenares AF and the Club Atlético Univ. UASD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tenares AF's Gabriel Avellanos got a free kick in the 17th minute. Sergio Sepúlveda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Cayetano Brizuela made a huge save. When Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Amilcar Méndez in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tenares AF's goalie prevented a goal. Cayetano Brizuela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amilcar Méndez, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolás Ordóñez during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tenares AF!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timoteo Canales was the one to do the kick off. Rafael Ontiveros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timoteo Canales in the 57th minute of play. Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Rafael Ontiveros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Canales in the 61st minute of play. Cayetano Brizuela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Sepúlveda in the 63rd minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Sergio Sepúlveda notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Tenares AF's Cayetano Brizuela. Cayetano Brizuela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Tenares AF's Timoteo Canales in the 76th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rafael Ontiveros was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Club Atlético Univ. UASD through an amazing save. 80 minutes into the game, Timoteo Canales recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rafael Ontiveros. Timoteo Canales showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-1. After a defensive mix-up in Tenares AF's zone, Javier Mosquera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Brizuela came out of the goal and Javier Mosquera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Javier Mosquera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Brizuela having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Tenares AF's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Sepúlveda came free, but Cayetano Brizuela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
