Spectators: 6855 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1855, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Prieto started the match with the kick off. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Juan's goalkeeper Porfirio Badía, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Peralta's Francisco Prieto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Porfirio Badía. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Peralta's Eriberto Alonso got a free kick in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Peralta's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Fernández came free, but Eloy Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Andy Fernández got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eriberto Alonsos short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Porfirio Badía to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ed Manzanares kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Francisco Prieto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eriberto Alonso struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Porfirio Badía didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peralta. Francisco Prieto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Britos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eloy Martínez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Peralta's zone, Lucas Britos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Martínez came out of the goal and Lucas Britos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Peralta getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alvaro Cárdenas hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Lucas Britos made the kick off in the second half. Eloy Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Britos in the 55th minute of the match. Eloy Martínez was a little too slow when Lucas Britos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-1. Peralta's Eriberto Alonso got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 61 minutes, Eriberto Alonso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peralta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eriberto Alonso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Porfirio Badía showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Prieto, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Andy Fernández managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Juan's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Fernández was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Martínez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Peralta defense, Andy Fernández kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eloy Martínez. The Peralta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eloy Martínez should have stopped the shot. If Eriberto Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. San Juan's Lucas Britos got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, San Juan's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Alonso came free, but Porfirio Badía reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Urquiza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Eloy Martínez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eriberto Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Eriberto Alonso sped through San Juan's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Porfirio Badía. The San Juan players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Peralta from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
