Spectators: 6858 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1858, VIP seats: 0) In the 7th minute Pablo Pulido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Avilés saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Esperanza booed when Enriquillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Pulido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciro Mayorga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Camilo Avilés tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camilo Avilés didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florencio Barton went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Pablo Pulido got free in front of the goal in the 23rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Camilo Avilés was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Emanuel Corrales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josías Barragán, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Camilo Avilés showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Pulido in the 28th minute of the match. Geraldo Gasol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Enriquillo's Pablo Pulido sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camilo Avilés narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Randor Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Emanuel Corrales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Corrales came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Esperanza's Josías Barragán. But to his dismay, Josías Barragán quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pablo Pulido was the one to do the kick off. Camilo Avilés showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Mayorga, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 60th minute, Randor Noboa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randor Noboa in the 65th minute of play forced Enriquillo's goalkeeper Emanuel Corrales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josías Barragán could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Emanuel Corrales made a huge save. Emanuel Corrales was a little too slow when Randor Noboa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-2. Josías Barragán fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Corrales having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geraldo Gasol during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emanuel Corrales made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Josías Barragán sent off a good shot on target. Esperanza's Camilo Avilés played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Pulido in the 79th minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Pablo Pulido who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esperanza's Camilo Avilés was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pablo Pulido took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Camilo Avilés. Camilo Avilés dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Emanuel Corrales acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 88th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Carlitos Howard. Ciro Mayorga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Avilés having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Ciro Mayorga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Camilo Avilés made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Pulido in the 95th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
