Elio Cano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Sierra in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Hutton in the 12th minute of play forced Peravia AC's goalkeeper Faustino Blanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Domingo Hutton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Elián Ibarra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barahona's supporters rose to their feet, but Elián Ibarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faustino Blanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Elián Ibarra came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Barahona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elián Ibarra couldn't finish the play. After 31 played minutes Peravia AC got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Sierra. In the 34th minute Aureliano Sierra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elio Cano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Emir Zavala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elián Ibarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustino Blanco having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Aureliano Sierra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elio Cano. The goal made the score 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elián Ibarra to make the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barahona's goalkeeper Elio Cano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Aureliano Sierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elio Cano came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Peravia AC's Robert Burton. But to his dismay, Robert Burton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. A hard shot 61 in the game by Domingo Hutton from a close distance when the talented Faustino Blanco managed to make a qualified save. Peravia AC's players were relieved. If Elián Ibarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th match minute, Barahona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Soler to maneuver through the defense. Elio Cano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Sierra in the 67th minute of the match. Barahona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Hutton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peravia AC's Faustino Blanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elián Ibarra in the 83rd minute of play. Mauro Caminero charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauro Caminero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Peravia AC's Mauro Caminero got a free kick in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Lázaro Moratinos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. One of Peravia AC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Barahona:s goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Domingo Hutton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barahona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Hutton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faustino Blanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elián Ibarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. In the 98th minute, Elián Ibarra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Peravia AC's Faustino Blanco got control of the ball when Domingo Hutton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
