Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edwar Parra kicked off to start the match. Patricio Cabañas's late challenge caught a Las Colinas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Las Colinas reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arquímedes Serrano in the 35th minute of play forced Las Colinas's goalkeeper Eleoncio Carreón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Julio Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Monción FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Patricio Cabañas hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The audience was convinced that Edwar Parra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Macías was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Monción FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
