When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramiro Albam made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Cibao FC's Eliseo Orozco got a free kick in the 54th minute. The supporters of Toros del Oeste booed when Cibao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenny Altamirano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidro Arbizu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salomón Ortega in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Toros del Oeste's Adolfo Cárdenas got a free kick in the 64th minute. The tension between the Toros del Oeste and the Cibao FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Graciano Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Albam in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Riojas in the 93rd minute of play forced Cibao FC's goalkeeper Isidro Arbizu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toros del Oeste walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
