Salcedo's Arthur Friedman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melky Leiva in the 22nd minute of play. Arthur Friedman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melky Leiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 1-0 became the score in the 27th minute when Melky Leiva elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Arthur Friedman had great luck who in the 35thth minute grab hold of the ball when Juan Cabrero from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Melky Leiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Salcedo's zone, Melky Leiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arthur Friedman came out of the goal and Melky Leiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelo Armstrong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odalis Zambrano having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Melky Leiva in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arthur Friedman saved Salcedo from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pablo Pacheco was the one to do the kick off. Arthur Friedman guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Arthur Friedman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melky Leiva in the 98th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Quitasueño fully deserved thier win.
