The audience was convinced that Norberto Ulloa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elías Willick was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. If Norberto Ulloa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 played minutes HORTA UA got a freekick which was hit by Diómedes Estrada. If Juan Luis Vega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elías Willick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Ulloa in the 31st minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Luis Vega was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norberto Ulloa got free with Elías Willick in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elías Willick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in HORTA UA's zone, Norberto Ulloa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elías Willick came out of the goal and Norberto Ulloa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elías Willick acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 95th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Flavio Soto. When the match was over Garabito could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than HORTA UA throughout the match.
