Bautista Nolasco's late challenge caught a Sanabeta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bautista Nolasco helped the player get up and apologised. Bautista Nolasco hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matt Caballero in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo De La Vega prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusebio Rentería got free with Rico Juárez in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toribio Monroy scored 0-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo De La Vega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Sanabeta were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Josías Alkorta was the one to do the kick off. If Diómedes Carrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, San Francisco de Marcoris's goal looked a bit too open when Toribio Monroy came free, but Ricardo De La Vega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Diómedes Carrera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Diómedes Carrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo De La Vega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toribio Monroy in the 94th minute of play. San Francisco de Marcoris's Ricardo De La Vega proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save San Francisco de Marcoris from getting a goal against them.
