SantiagoFc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octavio Umaña was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. SantiagoFc's Julio Patterson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Arredondo in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Octavio Umaña to make the kick off. Julio Patterson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomero Arredondo in the 52nd minute. In the 55th match minute, SantiagoFc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Carlos Rubio to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes in the game, Octavio Umaña fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Julio Patterson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Arroyo Blanco's zone, Lisandro Allison stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Parra came out of the goal and Lisandro Allison tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lisandro Allison kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Arroyo Blanco had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
