Evaristo Griffin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yorkis Madrid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Fierro in the 19th minute of the match. Máximo Peña charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Máximo Peña the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Máximo Peña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Pirata F.C.'s zone, Alfonso Turnbull stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yorkis Madrid came out of the goal and Alfonso Turnbull tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rico Gasol did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Bruno Mercedes 23 minutes into the match. After 27 minutes, Rico Gasol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirata F.C. and the El Llano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Pirata F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rico Gasol to maneuver through the defense. Pirata F.C.'s Yorkis Madrid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salomón Vinicio in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, El Llano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Griffin to maneuver through the defense. Salomón Vinicio scored 1-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yorkis Madrid, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pirata F.C.'s Yorkis Madrid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Olivas in the 40th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Pirata F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Fierro came free, but Yorkis Madrid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yorkis Madrid was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Alfonso Turnbull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
