An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Umaña in the 16th minute of play forced Independencia CF's goalkeeper Alfonso Espinoza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes, Amadeo Frederik made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Arroyo Blanco's Alfonso Parra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfonso Parra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Gartzi in the 27th minute of the match. Toribio Burton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. In the 65th match minute, Arroyo Blanco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isandro Valencia to maneuver through the defense. Independencia CF's Alfonso Espinoza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Casagrande in the 67th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Independencia CF's Narciso Gartzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonso Parra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. Alfonso Parra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Frederik, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Octavio Umaña's late challenge caught a Independencia CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavio Umaña helped the player get up and apologised. Octavio Umaña hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 88 played minutes Independencia CF got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Peguero. 90 minutes into the match, Independencia CF's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Umaña came free, but Alfonso Espinoza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomero Arredondo got free with Alfonso Espinoza in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Independencia CF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
