An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Gustavo Diaz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Toribio Monroy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelio Cortez kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Sanabeta were awarded a corner. Jules Hernández went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Sanabeta's corner Jules Hernández fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Graciano Rincón quite easily take care of the ball. Graciano Rincón came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sanabeta's Diómedes Carrera. But to his dismay, Diómedes Carrera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Diómedes Carrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the game, Matt Caballero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sanabeta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valverde AD the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sanabeta's Matt Caballero got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Toribio Monroy came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Sanabeta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toribio Monroy couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Diómedes Carrera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sanabeta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toribio Monroy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Rico Vela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diómedes Carrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 played minutes Valverde AD got a freekick which was hit by Eleoncio Del Solar. Valverde AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Toribio Monroy scored to the left of an out of position Graciano Rincón, making the score, 1-4. If Diómedes Carrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diómedes Carrera got free with Graciano Rincón in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Sanabeta booed when Valverde AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Diaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diómedes Carrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Graciano Rincón having to interfere. With a little luck, Valverde AD's Graciano Rincón got control of the ball when Diómedes Carrera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Diómedes Carreras short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Graciano Rincón to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Graciano Rincón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toribio Monroy in the 86th minute of play. Jules Hernández made a great header on Sanabeta's corner, it was just that Valverde AD's Graciano Rincón managed to reach the ball for a save. Diómedes Carrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Graciano Rincón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 96 minutes, Toribio Monroy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sanabeta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toribio Monroy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
