The audience thought a goal was coming when Sil Alarcón got free with Eladio Vinicio in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baltasar Mena hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Guayaubín's Fabricio Alcott dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After some careless play in the Mao CP defense, Fabricio Alcott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eladio Vinicio. The Mao CP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eladio Vinicio should have stopped the shot. Lucio Armas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Clayton having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Anthony Matheus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 31 played minutes Guayaubín got a freekick which was hit by Roque Olegario. Fabricio Alcott scored 3-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eladio Vinicio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Fabricio Alcott made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Mao CP booed when Guayaubín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Alcott didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eladio Vinicio came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Guayaubín's Wilfredo Ballesteros. But to his dismay, Wilfredo Ballesteros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Mao CP's Germán Lemos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Baltasar Mena in the 57 minute of the game. A hard shot 59 in the game by Anthony Matheus from a close distance when the talented Clemente Clayton managed to make a qualified save. Guayaubín's players were relieved. In the 66th minute Anthony Matheus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Clayton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germán Lemos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Clemente Clayton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mao CP's Ovidio Pintos got a free kick in the 75th minute. Baltasar Mena missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 76 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Eladio Vinicio right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Alcott in the 89th minute of play forced Mao CP's goalkeeper Eladio Vinicio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guayaubín's Fabricio Alcott got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sil Alarcón scored 5-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eladio Vinicio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guayaubín were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mao CP for a fine match.
