After a defensive mix-up in Chulos del Caribe's zone, Casimiro Villanueva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Fajardo came out of the goal and Casimiro Villanueva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Casimiro Villanueva got free with Basilio Fajardo in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Chulos del Caribe's zone, Casimiro Villanueva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Fajardo came out of the goal and Casimiro Villanueva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Atlético Univ. UASD were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Chulos del Caribe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Casimiro Villanueva took the corner. Norbert Gutiev was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atlético Univ. UASD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chulos del Caribe.
