The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adnan Menderes in the 4th minute of play forced 4 de Julio's goalkeeper Paco Puente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paco Puente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Balduino Madrid in the 6th minute. Paco Puente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adnan Menderes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, 4 de Julio's goal looked a bit too open when Adnan Menderes came free, but Paco Puente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Las Terrenas were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after 4 de Julio's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. The 4 de Julio fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when 4 de Julio's Alexi Sala looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Alexi Sala made the kick off in the second half. When Gonzalo Rivera came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the 4 de Julio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Rivera couldn't finish the play. In the 53rd match minute, Las Terrenas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Aranda to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Las Terrenas getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Paolo Sosa hit a great ball. Isidoro Balboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexi Sala in the 61st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, William Aranda put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Paco Puente. Isidoro Balboa stood somewhat misplaced when Alexi Sala came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 68 minute. 4 de Julio made a substitution. Paco Puente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adnan Menderes in the 85th minute of play. Adnan Menderes hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raphael Steuble in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidoro Balboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 4 de Julio would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
