In the 9thth minute of the game Damaso Aranda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Peñón FC's Adolfo Zambrano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to El Peñón FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Paco Montañas hit a great ball. 4 de Julio's Damaso Aranda got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The 4 de Julio fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when 4 de Julio's Alexi Sala looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Paco Puente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paco Montañas, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in El Peñón FC's zone, Rogerio Godoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Zambrano came out of the goal and Rogerio Godoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute, Jacek Lodowy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as 4 de Julio's Rogerio Godoy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adolfo Zambrano. That made the score 2-0 after 32 minutes of play. Ángel Ybarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexi Sala didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 3-0 via right post in the game's 39th minute. 4 de Julio's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 42nd minute, Alexi Sala made a precise shot to the right of Adolfo Zambrano. El Peñón FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anthony Canal to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Alexi Sala left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 4 de Julio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexi Sala in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Zambrano saved El Peñón FC from getting behind. In the 61st minute Damaso Aranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Zambrano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Zambrano came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by 4 de Julio's Rogerio Godoy. But to his dismay, Rogerio Godoy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. 4 de Julio's Bartolomé Berrios was substituted for Gonzalo Rivera. After 75 played minutes El Peñón FC got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Carreón. In the 78th minute of the match Damaso Aranda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adolfo Zambrano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 79 minutes into the match, 4 de Julio's Raphael Steuble sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolfo Zambrano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in El Peñón FC's zone, Raphael Steuble stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Zambrano came out of the goal and Raphael Steuble tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damaso Aranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Zambrano having to interfere. Apolinar Cadena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Zambrano having to interfere. If Raphael Steuble had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raphael Steuble in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Zambrano saved El Peñón FC from getting behind. Adolfo Zambrano came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by 4 de Julio's Damaso Aranda. But to his dismay, Damaso Aranda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. 4 de Julio walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
