Ramón Sosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yánez Aldaeta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramón Sosa ran back to his position shaking his head. 10 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Univ. UASD's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Stewarts came free, but Yánez Aldaeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phil Mills could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Yánez Aldaeta made a huge save. 14 minutes into the game, Argen-Taino's Agustín Zapata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yánez Aldaeta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Yánez Aldaeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Zapata in the 17th minute of play. Yánez Aldaeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Stewarts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Argen-Taino's Jeremias Stewarts in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético Univ. UASD's goalie prevented a goal. In the 25th minute Graciano Verón suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 25 minutes into the game, Hanley Morrison was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Univ. UASD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argen-Taino the free kick. The supporters of Argen-Taino booed when Club Atlético Univ. UASD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hanley Morrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Gutiev in the 28th minute of play forced Argen-Taino's goalkeeper Jesús Caminero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gonzalo Vinicio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. UASD's Yánez Aldaeta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Stewarts in the 41st minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeremias Stewarts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Bartolomé Matheus got a free kick in the 50th minute. If Gonzalo Vinicio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After taking down the ball on Argen-Taino's corner Agustín Zapata fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Yánez Aldaeta quite easily take care of the ball. In the 57th minute Argen-Taino were awarded a corner. Ramón Sosa went to the cornerflag to take it. Yánez Aldaeta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustín Zapata went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Yánez Aldaeta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Stewarts, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Yánez Aldaeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Sosa in the 68th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Stewarts in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yánez Aldaeta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Agustín Zapata took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yánez Aldaeta. Yánez Aldaeta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. After 74 played minutes Club Atlético Univ. UASD got a freekick which was hit by Bartolomé Matheus. Yánez Aldaeta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Sosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Agustín Zapata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norbert Gutiev charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norbert Gutiev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yánez Aldaeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Stewarts in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Argen-Taino players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
