Jeremias Stewarts started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de Bonao's zone, Ramón Sosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernard Macedo came out of the goal and Ramón Sosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Agustín Zapata took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bernard Macedo to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de Bonao's Ramfis Apolonario got a free kick in the 17th minute. Agustín Zapata had several of the Estudiantes de Bonao's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 21 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Bernard Macedo as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ramón Sosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Bernard Macedo made a huge save. Bernard Macedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustín Zapata's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Bernard Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Zapata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Zapata in the 33rd minute of play forced Estudiantes de Bonao's goalkeeper Bernard Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustín Zapata did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Bernard Macedo 40 minutes into the match. Bernard Macedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremias Stewarts in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Abel Santana made the kick off in the second half. Estudiantes de Bonao's Bernard Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Stewarts in the 59th minute of play. After 60 minutes, Yamil Burton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estudiantes de Bonao and the Argen-Taino players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Estudiantes de Bonao getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Yamil Burton hit a great ball. Jeremias Stewarts scored 6-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernard Macedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Agustín Zapata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernard Macedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeremias Stewarts's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the game, Jeremias Stewarts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Bernard Macedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernard Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Stewarts, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Walter Córdova hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute of the match Graciano Verón sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernard Macedo skillfully saved the ball. Bernard Macedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustín Zapata went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Argen-Taino booed when Estudiantes de Bonao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Nava didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Argen-Taino had played much better football throughout.
