Isidoro Balboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Donose in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Las Terrenas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Raúl Gordillo was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Lea Papá's players had a chance to rest. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Raúl Gordillo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Isidoro Balboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 22 minutes into the game, Ahmet Emir Demirci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. In the 29th minute, Anton Donose made a precise shot to the right of Isidoro Balboa. Las Terrenas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Las Terrenas's Isidoro Balboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Gordillo in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Ramiro Cuevas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Balboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Michal Jehlička notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Las Terrenas's Isidoro Balboa. Isidoro Balboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 40 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Lea Papá's Alan Marinelli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvar Ponce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Balboa having to interfere. After the first half Club Atlético Lea Papá were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anton Donose to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Alvar Ponce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidoro Balboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. Alvar Ponce kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Honorio Endira was substituted for Gao Chuan. Isidoro Balboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvar Ponce in the 59th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Anton Donose kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Isidoro Balboa. That made the score 1-7 in the 59 minute of play. Isidoro Balboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anton Donose's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Isidoro Balboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michal Jehlička, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Las Terrenas's Ahmet Emir Demirci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hong Qing narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Lea Papá's zone, Adnan Menderes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hong Qing came out of the goal and Adnan Menderes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anton Donose scored 1-8 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isidoro Balboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Isidoro Balboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anton Donose in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute Club Atlético Lea Papá were awarded a corner. Raúl Gordillo went to the cornerflag to take it. Club Atlético Lea Papá made a substitution. Aldo-Pedro Poy replaced Anton Donose. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Aldo-Pedro Poy was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 95th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
