Mehdi Hamid Brahima started the match with the kick off. Ahmed Chebal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehdi Hamid Brahima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mehdi Hamid Brahima in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmed Chebal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ahmed Chebal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mehdi Hamid Brahima's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Charles Matmour struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Ahmed Chebal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St. John AFC. Salah Tlemcani was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fadhil Bougherra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 24 minute of play. Karim Gallaire's late challenge caught a St. John AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karim Gallaire helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Microwave Chef getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Karim Gallaire hit a great ball. Ahmed Chebal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehdi Hamid Brahima in the 40th minute of play. Microwave Chef's Ahmed Chebal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Matmour in the 43rd minute of play. Nadir Boniche hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karim Gallaire in the 45th minute of play forced St. John AFC's goalkeeper Salah Tlemcani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fadhil Bougherra to strike the kick off in the second half. Microwave Chef's Ahmed Chebal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Microwave Chef from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mehdi Hamid Brahima in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmed Chebal saved Microwave Chef from getting behind. 62 minutes into the match, Microwave Chef's goal looked a bit too open when Mehdi Hamid Brahima came free, but Ahmed Chebal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehdi Hamid Brahima's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Ahmed Chebal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 67th minute, St. John AFC's Mehdi Hamid Brahima dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Mehdi Hamid Brahima received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ahmed Chebal came out and tried to block the shot, but Mehdi Hamid Brahima slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charles Matmour got free with Ahmed Chebal in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Guillaume Laurent Madani fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Microwave Chef's protests and gave Guillaume Laurent Madani a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of St. John AFC booed when Microwave Chef was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillaume Laurent Madani didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fadhil Bougherra came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Microwave Chef fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fadhil Bougherra couldn't finish the play. Fadhil Bougherra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to St. John AFC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Salah Hamruche hit a great ball.
