The crowd rose to their feet as West Covina FC's Tayeb Azem slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Smail Bahari. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. 38 minutes into the game, Menad Boniche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. West Covina FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kirtland the free kick. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tayeb Azem to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Tayeb Azem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Smail Bahari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Tayeb Azem had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Smail Bahari. Kirtland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tayeb Azem was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The referee ignored West Covina FC's protests and gave Belaid Sellal a yellow card for diving instead. Dida Mezdad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hocine Mimoun having to interfere. Smail Bahari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tayeb Azem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nouredine Raï received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Hocine Mimoun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tayeb Azem couldn't finish the play. 99 minutes into the match, Kirtland's goal looked a bit too open when Halim Fadela came free, but Smail Bahari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Kirtland players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented West Covina FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
