West Paterson's Djabir Khaldi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save West Paterson from getting a goal against them. The supporters of West Paterson booed when Slocomb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Hammad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Tayeb Hamrouche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, West Paterson's Tayeb Hamrouche sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tedj Sadmi narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
