Banfield Club's Ali Meriem got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jean Belmellat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chakib Madjer, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Antoine Karim Belkassem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Amri having to interfere. Mohammed Ahmed Hanin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jean Belmellat acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Yazid Khaldi. Robert Amri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoine Karim Belkassem, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 28th minute, Sid Ben Khalidi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Columbia Heights's goal looked a bit too open when Chakib Madjer came free, but Jean Belmellat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hakim Halimi kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Chakib Madjer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Belmellat having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Antoine Karim Belkassem notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Banfield Club's Robert Amri. Robert Amri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mohammed Ahmed Toumi charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mohammed Ahmed Toumi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Banfield Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohammed Ahmed Toumi to maneuver through the defense. The Banfield Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Columbia Heights were winning 0-1.

A collision led to Banfield Club getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Sid Ben Khalidi hit a great ball. Mohammed Ahmed Hanin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abdelhamid Boudiaf kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Karim Teissier took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jean Belmellat. Columbia Heights's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hakim Halimi kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Robert Amri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohammed Ahmed Hanin in the 66th minute of play. When Antoine Karim Belkassem came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Columbia Heights fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antoine Karim Belkassem couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute Mohammed Ahmed Hanin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Amri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Mohammed Ahmed Toumi notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Columbia Heights's Jean Belmellat. Jean Belmellat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Robert Amri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antoine Karim Belkassem in the 83rd minute. Columbia Heights's Jean Belmellat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Ben Khalidi in the 95th minute of play. Ali Meriem struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Jean Belmellat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Banfield Club. The Columbia Heights supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Columbia Heights would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
