Djamal Bentaala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoine Karim Belkassem in the 14th minute of play. If Antoine Karim Belkassem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelmalek Boniche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Belmellat having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Sid Makkeb got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 27 minutes into the match, Buckley's goal looked a bit too open when Mohammed Ahmed Hanin came free, but Djamal Bentaala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Djamal Bentaala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoine Karim Belkassem, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdelmalek Boniche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
