In the 11th minute, Banfield Club's Ali Meriem dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Sid Makkeb had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robert Amri. Banfield Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sid Makkeb was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Robert Amri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelmalek Boniche in the 23rd minute of play. If Abdelmalek Boniche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Amri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sid Makkeb, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute, Abdelmalek Boniche left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buckley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelmalek Boniche in the 32nd minute of play forced Banfield Club's goalkeeper Robert Amri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Banfield Club's Robert Amri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Makkeb in the 36th minute of play. In the 36thth minute of the game Abdelmalek Boniche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Banfield Club's Robert Amri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Buckley getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Abd el Bensaïd hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Abdelmalek Boniche made a precise shot to the right of Robert Amri. Banfield Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After the first half Buckley were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abdelmalek Boniche made a kick off. Buckley's Djamal Bentaala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chakib Madjer in the 60th minute of play. Karim Teissier's late challenge caught a Buckley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karim Teissier helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 65 minutes, Buckley's Fodil Al-Jazairia got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Robert Amri. Menad Saïdi-Sief hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Sid Ben Khalidi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Meriem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Buckley's Djamal Bentaala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chakib Madjer in the 74th minute of play. If Chakib Madjer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Djamal Bentaala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Meriem in the 79th minute of play. Hamza Hima hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Chakib Madjer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sid Makkeb could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Robert Amri made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chakib Madjer in the 93rd minute of play forced Buckley's goalkeeper Djamal Bentaala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute Ali Meriem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Djamal Bentaala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
