The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Lawnton AFC's zone, El Meriem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cherif Benhamou came out of the goal and El Meriem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 9 played minutes AC米兰 got a freekick which was hit by Charles Boutabout. Benamar Abdelghani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismaël Chadl in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Lawnton AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohammed Saïdi-Sief to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lakhdar Yahia in the 18th minute of play forced Lawnton AFC's goalkeeper Cherif Benhamou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Abdelhamid Bedjaoui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Lawnton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lakhdar Yahia came free, but Cherif Benhamou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cherif Benhamou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from El Meriem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Lawnton AFC defense, El Meriem kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cherif Benhamou. The Lawnton AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cherif Benhamou should have stopped the shot.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ismaël Chadl in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benamar Abdelghani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to AC米兰 getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Charles Boutabout hit a great ball. Abdelhamid Bedjaoui struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Benamar Abdelghani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lawnton AFC. The supporters of Lawnton AFC booed when AC米兰 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lakhdar Amara didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lakhdar Amara was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. After 65 played minutes AC米兰 got a freekick which was hit by Lakhdar Amara. El Meriem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cherif Benhamou having to interfere. Abdelhamid Bedjaoui blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benamar Abdelghani having to make a save. Abdelhamid Bedjaoui scored 1-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benamar Abdelghani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 86 minutes, Ismaël Chadl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lawnton AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismaël Chadl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Charles Boutabout was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. In the 88th minute, Charles Boutabout hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lawnton AFC's Abdelhamid Bedjaoui got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to AC米兰 getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. El Meriem hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in AC米兰's zone, Ismaël Chadl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benamar Abdelghani came out of the goal and Ismaël Chadl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lakhdar Yahia took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cherif Benhamou. Cherif Benhamou dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Lawnton AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AC米兰's performance. The match ended with a win for AC米兰.
