Mourad Yahia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mahmoud Nima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mahmoud Nima might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mourad Yahia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mahmoud Nima ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16th minute, Muhammad Ghazi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mourad Yahia. The goal made the score 2-0. After 19 played minutes London City got a freekick which was hit by Mahmoud Nima. Mahmoud Nima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mourad Yahia having to make a save. When Rabah Doutté fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored London City's protests and gave Rabah Doutté a yellow card for diving instead. Rabah Doutté kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Mahmoud Nima might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mourad Yahia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mahmoud Nima ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th minute, London City's Muhammad Ghazi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mourad Yahia. Mourad Yahia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. After 29 played minutes London City got a freekick which was hit by Rabah Doutté. 32 minutes into the match, London City's Muhammad Ghazi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mourad Yahia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Mourad Yahia managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when London City's Mahmoud Nima fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When London City's Muhammad Ghazi in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye West Portsmouth AFC's goalie prevented a goal. With an all-out effort, London City's Mourad Yahia threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Muhammad Ghazi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rabah Diss hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Cheb Larfaoui spun around in front of the goal 44 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of London City's goal. In the 47th minute, London City's Mahmoud Nima ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mourad Yahia. Mourad Yahia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Muhammad Ghazi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Muhammad Ghazi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mahmoud Nima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fouad Djebbour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mourad Yahia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muhammad Ghazi, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When Mahmoud Nima came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the London City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mahmoud Nima couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the match, West Portsmouth AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mahmoud Nima came free, but Mourad Yahia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th match minute, London City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rabah Doutté to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Mahmoud Nima managed to get in a good position for a shot. London City's supporters rose to their feet, but Mahmoud Nima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mourad Yahia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Hamid Piaf fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored London City's protests and gave Hamid Piaf a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of West Portsmouth AFC booed when London City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamid Piaf didn't get a good kick on the ball. West Portsmouth AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
