After a defensive mix-up in Jonesboro FC's zone, Souad Bouzid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rabah Djeziri came out of the goal and Souad Bouzid tried to chip the ball over his head. Faouzi Gourion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jonesboro FC. After having played for 30 minutes, Fouad Yahia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jonesboro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fouad Yahia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonesboro FC's Mebarek Boniche got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the game, Chaba Matmour cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rabah Djeziri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Fouad Yahia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Faouzi Gourion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mebarek Boniche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd match minute, Jonesboro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mebarek Boniche to maneuver through the defense. Moulay Bencheikh was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 76th minute. Jonesboro FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience was convinced that Edmond Sifi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rabah Djeziri was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. After 84 played minutes Mebarek Boniche rounded Idylwood's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. In the 90th minute, Halim Benida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonesboro FC's Rabah Djeziri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Farès Medjoudj in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Idylwood fans cheered their team off the field, for while Jonesboro FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
