South Plainfield's Larbi Beloufa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mourad Bridji in the 12th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Souad Akrour managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fullerton AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Souad Akrour was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Larbi Beloufa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Souad Akrour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 minutes, Souad Akrour made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for South Plainfield. Fullerton AFC's Chaba Ben Khalidi suffered a concussion in the 40th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Mokdad Fillali's late challenge caught a Fullerton AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mokdad Fillali helped the player get up and apologised. Mokdad Fillali kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Larbi Beloufa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Souad Akrour in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Abdelaziz Heddou's late challenge caught a Fullerton AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
