With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abderraouf Bensaïd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nassim Barbarossa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Bezzaz having to interfere. Duluth's Abderraouf Bensaïd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fodil Sofiane in the 29th minute of play. In the 37thth minute of the game Said Feraoun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shamrock AFC's Ahmed Bezzaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maamar Fari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abderraouf Bensaïd having to interfere. If Fodil Sofiane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Said Feraoun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After taking down the ball on Shamrock AFC's corner Abdelmalek Zidane fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Abderraouf Bensaïd quite easily take care of the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
