The audience thought a goal was coming when Fathi Merbah got free with Maïssa Madjer in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute Abdelhamid Fadhil Mohamed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Hadjadj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Fathi Merbah managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lenexa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fathi Merbah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maïssa Madjer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Farid Hadjadj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noureddine Zerguelaine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Farid Hadjadj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cheb Megharia, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Lenexa FC's Nasserredine Merah-Benida got a free kick in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lenexa FC's zone, Noureddine Zerguelaine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Farid Hadjadj came out of the goal and Noureddine Zerguelaine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Farid Hadjadj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelhamid Fadhil Mohamed in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to Lenexa FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Djamel Boniche hit a great ball. Abdelhamid Fadhil Mohamed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Farid Hadjadj having to interfere. Farid Hadjadj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noureddine Zerguelaine, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Noureddine Zerguelaine to strike the kick off in the second half. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Noureddine Zerguelaine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdelhamid Fadhil Mohamed blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Farid Hadjadj having to make a save. If Noureddine Zerguelaine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lenexa FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
