Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lazhar Khaled made the kick off which started today's match. Tedj Abdenouz came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Long Prairie's Rabah Haddou. But to his dismay, Rabah Haddou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noureddine Zidane in the 9th minute of play forced Long Prairie's goalkeeper Mehdi Souakri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noureddine Zidane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Souakri having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Ilion AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lazhar Khaled came free, but Tedj Abdenouz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Mouloud Djenia Lkbira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tedj Abdenouz, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 28 minutes, Noureddine Zidane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilion AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noureddine Zidane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute, Jean-Michel Saadane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tedj Abdenouz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lazhar Khaled in the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Fawzi Bougherra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Noureddine Zidane made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Long Prairie's zone, Fawzi Bougherra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehdi Souakri came out of the goal and Fawzi Bougherra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fathi Akrour during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th minute, one of Long Prairie:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Long Prairie. Mehdi Souakri had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Jean-Michel Saadane's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Mahieddine Kerbouche's late challenge caught a Long Prairie's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mahieddine Kerbouche helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute of the match Ali Sam sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tedj Abdenouz skillfully saved the ball. Ismael Saïfi's late challenge caught a Long Prairie's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ismael Saïfi helped the player get up and apologised. Mahieddine Kerbouche hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Jean-Michel Saadane kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Long Prairie's Lazhar Khaled got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Mouloud Djenia Lkbira made a precise shot to the right of Tedj Abdenouz. Ilion AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Lazhar Khaled received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Tedj Abdenouz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Long Prairie's Mehdi Souakri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Long Prairie from getting a goal against them. Ilion AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
