The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hakim Belkheir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from El Khendu in the 4th minute of the match. Belaid Zidān hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Hakim Moussa made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Ismaël Adjaoud sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismaël Adjaoud got free with Hakim Moussa in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the match, Oxford FC's Hemza Boulmerka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hakim Moussa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Oxford FC's goal looked a bit too open when Belaid Zidān came free, but Hakim Belkheir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismaël Adjaoud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ismaël Adjaoud in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hakim Moussa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Belaid Zidān sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24thth minute of the game El Khendu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oxford FC's Hakim Belkheir was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oxford FC's Hemza Boulmerka got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 31 played minutes, Oxford FC's Mohammed Ahmed Ben Raï shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hakim Moussa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Oxford FC reached it. Hakim Moussa was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Hemza Boulmerka capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hemza Boulmerka really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Oxford FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mourad Asma was slow to take the kick. During this time Poplarville's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Poplarville's Mourad Asma to fire away a dangerous shot which Hakim Belkheir despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Belaid Zidān made the kick off in the second half. Hamid Ammour's late challenge caught a Oxford FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hamid Ammour helped the player get up and apologised. Hamid Ammour hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Poplarville's Hakim Moussa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hemza Boulmerka in the 54th minute of play. Ismaël Adjaoud struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Hakim Moussa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oxford FC. In the 57th minute, Abdelhamid Aribi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hakim Moussa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismaël Adjaoud in the 60th minute of the match. Hakim Moussa came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Oxford FC's Ismaël Adjaoud. But to his dismay, Ismaël Adjaoud quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. El Khendu struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Hakim Belkheir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poplarville. After a rather tough play, Oxford FC's Hocine Harkouk got a free kick in the 70th minute. El Khendu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Hakim Belkheir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belaid Zidān in the 73rd minute of play forced Oxford FC's goalkeeper Hakim Belkheir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Hemza Boulmerka cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Hakim Moussa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Oxford FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Poplarville:s goal. El Khendu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
