Endicott
Spectators: 7363 (Terracing: 5523,
Seating: 1693, VIP seats: 147) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Zīn ud-Dīn Allalou got the match started through his kick off. When Gillespie's Abderaouf Nasro in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Endicott's goalie prevented a goal. Nadir Madjer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abderaouf Nasro went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Zīn ud-Dīn Allalou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Mourad Zidane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Endicott's zone, Zīn ud-Dīn Allalou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nadir Madjer came out of the goal and Zīn ud-Dīn Allalou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tahar Messaoud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cheb Haddou having to interfere. Endicott's Nadir Madjer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zīn ud-Dīn Allalou in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zīn ud-Dīn Allalou in the 27th minute of play forced Endicott's goalkeeper Nadir Madjer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Gillespie's Zīn ud-Dīn Allalou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nadir Madjer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Tahar Messaoud came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Endicott fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tahar Messaoud couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the match, Endicott's Mohamed Djeballi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cheb Haddou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half Gillespie were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Mustapha Mesbah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Cheb Haddou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 minutes of play, Endicott's Tahar Messaoud made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cheb Haddou was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zīn ud-Dīn Allalou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Nadir Madjer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zīn ud-Dīn Allalou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nadir Madjer having to interfere. Abderaouf Nasro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Abderaouf Nasro came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Gillespie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abderaouf Nasro couldn't finish the play. Nadir Madjer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abderaouf Nasro in the 76th minute of the match. Abderaouf Nasro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Nadir Madjer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cheb Haddou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Djeballi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abderaouf Nasro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute of the match, Abderaouf Nasro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nadir Madjer was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Endicott getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Mustapha Mesbah hit a great ball. Gillespie's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fodil Abdessalam in the 101st minute. Gillespie's Fodil Abdessalam was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nadir Madjer in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Endicott fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gillespie were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
