Jean-Michel Hasni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brahim Khadra, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 25 minutes into the match, Fawzi Ahmed had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jean-Michel Hasni. Richton FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fawzi Ahmed was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Richton FC's zone, Fawzi Ahmed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-Michel Hasni came out of the goal and Fawzi Ahmed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mustapha Abrika during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Grass Valley FC booed when Richton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustapha Abrika didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustapha Abrika hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Richton FC's zone, Brahim Khadra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After 36 played minutes Grass Valley FC got a freekick which was hit by Fawzi Ahmed. Brahim Khadra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jean-Michel Hasni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Maïssa Barbarossa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had been going on for 50 minutes, Grass Valley FC's Nassim Louahla got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jean-Michel Hasni. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chih Mansouri couldn't finish the play. Chih Mansouri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Guillaume Laurent Medjani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Nassim Louahla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grass Valley FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Richton FC the free kick. When Yasmina Bencherif got free in front of the goal in the 80th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Guillaume Laurent Medjani was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Jean-Michel Hasni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brahim Khadra in the 81st minute of play. Yasmina Bencherif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Grass Valley FC's Guillaume Laurent Medjani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yasmina Bencherif in the 97th minute of play.
