Lazhar Benyamina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lazhar Benyamina struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Ismaël Méniri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Story City FC. Lazhar Benyamina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismaël Méniri having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as East Point's Fodil Larbes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ismaël Rahouli. That made the score 1-0 after 48 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Ismaël Rahouli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fodil Larbes, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute Youssef Amrouche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismaël Méniri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lazhar Benyamina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismaël Méniri having to interfere. After some careless play in the East Point defense, Mouloud Khadra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismaël Méniri. The East Point fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismaël Méniri should have stopped the shot. After 74 minutes, Fodil Larbes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the East Point and the Story City FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Story City FC booed when East Point was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fodil Larbes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, East Point's goalkeeper Ismaël Méniri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lazhar Benyamina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fodil Larbes in the 79th minute of play forced Story City FC's goalkeeper Ismaël Rahouli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Jean Benhabiles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Story City FC's Slimane Belhagj shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 82nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ismaël Méniri but with some difficulty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean Benhabiles during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, East Point's Jean Benhabiles got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 87th minute Youssef Amrouche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismaël Méniri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fodil Larbes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Story City FC's Smail Hamid Brahima got a free kick in the 96th minute. In the 98th minute Fodil Larbes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismaël Rahouli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Story City FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented East Point from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
