If Mohamed Boulebda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohamed Boulebda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Djamel Bella struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Abdelhamid Bensaïd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marblehead. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Souad Bensaoula got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Marblehead's Jussef Ben Saadane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Djamel Soltani in the 32nd minute of play. When Djamel Bella came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Marblehead fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Djamel Bella couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Groton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mohamed Boulebda came free, but Abdelhamid Bensaïd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Marblehead was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djamel Bella to maneuver through the defense. Djamel Bella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Djamel Soltani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Djamel Soltani in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jussef Ben Saadane saved Marblehead from getting behind. If Mohamed Boulebda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marblehead's Farès Bensaoula suffered a concussion after 60 minutes and had to leave the field. When Antoine Maroc fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Groton FC's protests and gave Antoine Maroc a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Groton FC got a freekick which was hit by Antoine Maroc. In the 62nd minute, Youssef Hamruche sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Groton FC's Abdelhamid Bensaïd didn't even have to move. 64 minutes into the match, Marblehead's goal looked a bit too open when Djamel Soltani came free, but Jussef Ben Saadane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 minutes of play Groton FC's Antoine Maroc was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Antoine Maroc kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Djamel Bella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Abdelhamid Bensaïd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marblehead's Yasmina Ihidjaten got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hocine Bedjaoui hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Souad Bensaoula's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jussef Ben Saadane was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. 95 minutes into the match, Groton FC's goalkeeper Abdelhamid Bensaïd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Djamel Bella. In the 96th match minute, Marblehead was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yasmina Ihidjaten to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute, Yasmina Ihidjaten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Groton FC's Fawzi Drid couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 99th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Marblehead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
