If Mohamed Schoonmaker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Souad Mhenni kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anther Mamouni in the 48th minute of play forced Rancho Mirage FC's goalkeeper Tedj Zouba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Mohamed Schoonmaker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shelburne Falls's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohamed Schoonmaker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A wasted opportunity for Shelburne Falls. Shelburne Falls's Mohamed Schoonmaker suffered a concussion after 61 minutes and had to leave the field. 64 minutes into the game, Billel Douibi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tedj Zouba. Billel Douibi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. If Billel Douibi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Mohammed Yacef had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Belaid Moll. Shelburne Falls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mohammed Yacef was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Bouzid Belhagj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 82nd minute, Mohammed Yacef got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anther Mamouni was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Shelburne Falls's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anther Mamouni in the 93rd minute of play forced Rancho Mirage FC's goalkeeper Tedj Zouba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Shelburne Falls booed when Rancho Mirage FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nadir Zaaboub didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Shelburne Falls players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
