Tulia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tayeb Amirouche was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alain Matmour during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fitzgerald FC's Cheb Zahouania played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hocine Cohen in the 26th minute of play. Tayeb Amirouche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Redha Bensaoula having to interfere. In the 32nd minute of the match Alain Matmour shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Redha Bensaoula showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 32nd match minute, Tulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djamal Moussaoui to maneuver through the defense. Noureddine Maroc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

With a little luck, Tulia's Redha Bensaoula got control of the ball when Tayeb Amirouche tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Mahmoud Larfaoui came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Fitzgerald FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mahmoud Larfaoui couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Tulia defense, Tayeb Amirouche kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Redha Bensaoula. The Tulia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Redha Bensaoula should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Fitzgerald FC booed when Tulia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Djamal Moussaoui didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 minutes, Yacine Meniri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fitzgerald FC and the Tulia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th minute, one of Fitzgerald FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fitzgerald FC. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Tulia. Yazid Madani stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cheb Zahouania. 3-2. The audience was convinced that Hocine Cohen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cheb Zahouania was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Cheb Zahouania made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hocine Cohen in the 95th minute of play.
