Nouredine Bellemou Messaoud took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frantz Larbi. Poquonock Bridge's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Ferhat Bendjedid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Balmville's Mourad N'Soumer got control of the ball when Frantz Mimoun tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Balmville's Abdelnasser Bentaala in 30 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Frantz Larbi guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Balmville's Mourad N'Soumer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferhat Bendjedid in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Balmville's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Frantz Mimoun fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Soltani El-Hadi fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balmville's protests and gave Soltani El-Hadi a yellow card for diving instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferhat Bendjedid was the one to do the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frantz Larbi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jussef Ben Belkheir was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The Balmville supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Balmville would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
