Karim Saïfi came out of the goal and Nordine Djeballi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 7th minute, Nordine Djeballi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abdelaziz Kafi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Hadjar having to interfere. Nordine Djeballi scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karim Saïfi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mokdad Zidane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes New Egypt got a freekick which was hit by Abdelnacer Zakaria. If Mokdad Zidane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mokdad Zidane in the 32nd minute of play forced New Egypt's goalkeeper Ahmed Hadjar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Mokdad Zidane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Hadjar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdelaziz Kafi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ahmed Hadjar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, New Egypt's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelaziz Kafi came free, but Ahmed Hadjar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abderrahmane Mezdad charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abderrahmane Mezdad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute Abdelaziz Kafi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Hadjar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Abdelaziz Kafi came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ahmed Hadjar could save by the left post. Karim Saïfi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nordine Djeballi in the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, New Egypt's Zīn ud-Dīn Boulebda got a free kick in the 66th minute. Mokdad Zidane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ahmed Hadjar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mokdad Zidane, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Ahmed Hadjar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdelaziz Kafi in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, New Egypt's goal looked a bit too open when Mokdad Zidane came free, but Ahmed Hadjar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
